About Laura
As the first lady of Killeen, Laura is profoundly involved in the community where she resides. She presently serves on several boards, to include: the Killeen Independent School District, Community Relations Team, Killeen Police Advisory Board, Fort Hood Area Habitat for Humanity, is a past Hispanic American Chamber of Commerce Central Texas Chairman.
In 2013, Laura served as president of the Fort Hood Area Association of Realtor® and was recognized as the businesswoman in 2018 by Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Central Texas. She too was recognized by the LULAC Chapter 4535 as the Hispanic businesswoman in 2013 and recognized as the REALTOR® of the year in 2006 by the Fort Hood Area Association of REALTORS®.
Additionally, Mrs. Segarra received numerous sales awards, to include TOP one-hundred (100) of thirty- thousands (30,000) REALTORS® within EXIT Realty Corporation. International, in 2013, Laura received Bronze, Silver, and Gold awards. To present, she continues to achieve high accolades for providing superior and professional service to the Killeen and surrounding communities.
Lastly, Laura is wedded to Jose Segarra. They have 3 adult children and 6 grandchildren. Laura enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and traveling with her husband as she becomes knowledgeable of the divergent cultures and their history.
